Saturdays, January 12th - March 9th, 2013 – 12:30pm-2pm.
Biathlon Bears: Saturdays, 12:30 - 2:00. Biathlon Bears is for children ages 8-14 and is a great introduction to Biathlon. The program includes a focus of instruction in: rifle shooting techniques, range safety and rifle management, and introduction to combination shooting. Practice on Martock's new Canada Winter Games trails and Martock's Biathlon rifle range. The cost of the program is $120 (before Dec 15th), which includes a Youth Ski Program in the morning, from 10-11:30am. Youth in Biathlon Bears must already be registered for one of the club Youth Ski Programs (Jackrabbits, if 8yrs+), Track Attack, or Trailblazers. This enables the Ski coaches to focus on Skate skiing in the morning, and the Biathlon Bears coaches to focus on shooting in the afternoon. An overall recipe for success!
***NOTE*** Since many Trailblazers are between the ages of 14-16, these participants may choose to enrol in either the Biathlon Bears program, or the Adult Biathlon program.
***RACE DAYS*** Program times may be altered or cancelled on Provincial Cadet or Atlantic Cup Biathlon race days, Feb 2-3 and Feb 23-24.
